The Bible is book about second chances. But how many second chances do we get? In this episode we ask the question, ‘can you be born again…again?’
It is a somewhat universal belief within Christian movements that one needs to be ‘born again’. This terminology comes from Jesus’ conversation with a man named Nicodemus [READ HERE].
This statement is clarified by Jesus as meaning ‘to be born of the Spirit’. So far most people are happy to agree, but that’s about where it stops.
Some people believe that moment of being ‘born again’ is a ‘once and for all time’ moment. Others believe that even after being ‘born again’, one can fall away from the new life experienced through the in dwelling of the Spirit of God, and ultimately be at risk of losing ones salvation.
This week we deliberate a few verses that speak of ‘unforgivable sins’ and ‘blaspheming the Holy Spirit’. What do these verses mean? What does it mean for you? Can you be certain of your salvation?
Join us in this episode as we discuss this theological dilemma.
