This week on the But I Dunno Podcast, Episode 32 – Did God Create Evil?
We’re pretty sure that majority of people have been faced with a version of this question at least once in their lifetimes. We think this way, because we certainly have. Often it isn’t even someone else who asks this question. Often as people simply read through the Bible, a seemingly reasonable conclusion to make is that God created evil.
There really are only two possible answers to this question: Yes, or No. If the answer is yes, we move on and everybody can know two things: God is real, and He created evil. If we say no, the question is, where did evil originate? If not from God, then from whom? If God didn’t create evil, was He surprised that it suddenly existed? Was it created outside of His knowledge, by accident or on purpose, by someone else?
Perhaps the answer isn’t as obvious as we humans would like, but here at the But I Dunno Podcast, we believe the answer is ‘no’. God didn’t create evil. In this episode we explore possible origins for evil, and even discuss a little bit about the very nature of evil itself.
